First Entry ÷Thayer-1390 (G5839 OLB) Synonyms: doma (δόμα G1390), dosis (δόσις G1394), dorea (δωρεά G1431), doron (δῶρον G1435). δόμα G1390 refers to giving or a thing given, cf. a medical dose. δῶρον G1435 refers to a present yet not always gratuitous or wholly unsuggestive of recompense. δωρεά G1431 differs from δῶρον G1435 in denoting a gift which is also a gratuity, hence of the gift of a sovereign. δόσις G1394 is what God confers as a possessor of all things. ...
