(G5937 OLB) Synonyms for Drunkenness, Drinking: methe (μέθη G3178), potos (πότος G4224), oinophlygia (οἰνοφλυγία G3632), komos (κῶμος G2970), kraipale (κραιπάλη G2897).

(μέθη G3178) methe is the ordinary word for drunkenness. potos is rather concrete, a drinking, carousing. oinophlygia is a prolonged condition of drunkenness, a debauch. komos includes riot and revelry, usually as arising from drunkenness. kraipale denotes the sickness and discomfort resulting from drunkenness.
