Modern Literal Version
[2 Corinthians 7]7:1 Therefore beloved, having these promises, we should cleanse ourselves from all defilement of flesh and spirit, completing {Or: maturing} holiness in the fear of God.

7:2 Make room for us in yourĎ hearts: we wronged no one, we corrupted no one, we took-advantage of no one. 7:3 I am not saying this toward yourĎ condemnation; for* I have said before, that youĎ are in our hearts, *that* we may die together with youĎ and we may live together withyouĎ. 7:4 My boldness of speech toward youĎis much; my boasting on yourĎ behalf is much. I have been filled with your encouragement. I over-abound with joy in all our affliction.

7:5 For* even when* we came into Macedonia, our flesh still had no relief, but we were being afflicted in everything; outside were quarrels, inside were fears. 7:6 But God, who encourages the humble, encouraged us at the presence of Titus; 7:7 and not only at his presence, but also at the encouragement to which he was encouraged in youĎ, while reporting to us yourĎ longing, yourĎanguish, yourĎ zeal on my behalf; so-that I rejoiced even more. 7:8 Because even if I made youĎsorrowful in the previous letter, I do not regret it; even if I was regretting it. For* I see that, that letter made youĎ sorrowful, even if but for a season. 7:9 I now rejoice, not that youĎ were made sorrowful, but that youĎ were made sorrowful to repentance; for* youĎ were made sorrowful according to the will of God, in order that youĎ might suffer-damage in nothing from us. 7:10 For*the sorrow which is according to the will of God is working unregretted repentance *for salvation, but the sorrow of the world is working death. 7:11 For* behold how much diligence this same thing, (yourĎ being sorrowful according to the will of God), has worked in youĎ: but what a defense, but what indignation, but what fear, but what longing, but what zeal, but whatvengeance! In everything youĎ commended yourselves to be pure in the matter. 7:12Consequently*, if I also wrote to youĎ, it was not because of the one who did wrong, nor because of the one who had been wronged, but because of yourĎ diligent-aid on our behalf to be made manifest to youĎ in God's sight. 7:13 Because of this, we have been encouraged in yourĎencouragement, we rejoiced even-more upon the joy of Titus, because his spirit has been given-rest from all of youĎ. 7:14 Because if I have boasted in anything on yourĎ behalf to him, I was not ashamed, but as we spoke all things to youĎ in truth, so also, our boasting in Titus became truth.7:15 And his affections are even-more toward youĎ, while he is remembering the obedience of all of youĎ, how with fear and trembling youĎ accepted him. 7:16 I rejoice that in everything I have courage in youĎ.
