Modern Literal Version
[1 Corinthians 3]

3:1 And brethren, I was not able to speak to youĎ as to spiritual people, but as to fleshly ones, as to infants in Christ. 3:2 I gave youĎ milk to drink and not food, for* youĎ were not yet able to eat it. But still youĎ are not able even now, 3:3 for* youĎ are still fleshly. For* where there is jealousy and strife and dissensions among youĎ, are youĎ not fleshly, and are youĎ not walking according to the manner of man?

3:4 For* whenever someone says, I am indeed of Paul, but a different one, I am of Apollos, are youĎ not fleshly? 3:5 Therefore, who is Paul? And who is Apollos? But servants through whom youĎ believed, even as the Lord gave to each. 3:6 I planted, Apollos watered, but God was causing the growth. 3:7 So-then neither is the one who is planting anything, nor the one who is watering, but God who is causing the growth. 3:8 Now the one who is planting and the one who is watering are one, but each one will be receiving his own reward according to his own labor. 3:9 For* we are God's fellow workers. YouĎ are God's cultivation, God's building.

3:10 According to the grace of God which was given to me, I have laid a foundation like a wise expert-builder, and another is building upon it. But let each one beware how he is building uponit. 3:11 For* no one is able to lay another foundation beside what is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 3:12But if anyone is building on this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, grass, straw, 3:13 the work of each one will become apparent. For* the day will indicate it, because it is revealed in fire, and the fire will test the work of each one, of what sort it is. 3:14 If anyone's work remains which he built upon it, he will be receiving a reward. 3:15 If the work of anyone will be burned, he will be forfeiting that work, but he himself will be saved, but so as through fire.

3:16 Do youĎ not know that youĎ are a temple of God and the Spirit of God is dwelling in youĎ?3:17 If anyone corrupts the temple of God, God will have corruption for this one; for* the temple of God is holy, which youĎ are.

3:18 Let no one deceive himself. If anyone seems to be wise in this age among youĎ, let him become foolish, in order that he may become wise. 3:19 For* the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For* it has been written, 'It is he who grabs the wise in their craftiness';{Job 5:13}3:20 and again, 'The Lord knows the reasonings of the wise, that they are futile.' {Psa 94:11}3:21 So-then, let no one boast in men. For* all things are yoursĎ, 3:22 whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas, or the world or life or death, or things which are present, or future things. All things are yoursĎ, 3:23 and youĎ are Christ's, and Christ is God's.
