Modern Literal Version

[1 Corinthians 16]

     {1Co 16:1-3, Acts 24:17, Romans 15:27, 2 Corinthians 8, 9, Gal 2:10.}

     16:1 Now concerning the collection which is*for the holy-ones, just-as I commanded to the congregations* of Galatia, so youĎ also, practiceĎsuch! 16:2 Every first day of the week, let each of youĎ place beside himself, storing up, if he prospers in anything, in order that whenever I come, no collections may happen then. 16:3 Now whenever I come, I will be sending whomever youĎapprove through letters, to carry yourĎ favor to Jerusalem; 16:4 and if it is also worthy for me to travel there; they will be traveling together with me. 16:5 But I will be coming to youĎ, whenever I have gone through Macedonia; for* I am going through Macedonia. 16:6 Now when* I am with you; I will be remaining or either will be wintering with youĎ, in order that youĎ may send me onward to wherever I am traveling. 16:7 For* I do not wish to see youĎ now on the way, but I am hoping to remain with youĎ some time, if the Lord permits. 16:8 But I will be remaining in Ephesus until the Pentecost; 16:9 for* a large and effective door has opened to me and many arelaying in opposition to me.

     16:10 Now if Timothy comes, seeĎto it, in order that he may become fearless toward youĎ; for*he is working the work of the Lord, as I also am. 16:11 Therefore let no one scorn him. But sendĎhim onward in peace, in order that he may come to me; for* I am waiting for him with the brethren. 16:12 Now concerning Apollos the brother, I encouraged him many times in order that he should come to youĎ with the brethren and it was certainly not his will in order that he should come now, but he will be coming whenever he has an opportunity.

     16:13 WatchĎ. Stand-firmĎ in the faith. BeĎ manly. BeĎ powerful. 16:14 Let all yourĎ things happen in love*.

     16:15 Now youĎ know the house of Stephanas, that it is the first-fruit of Achaia and that they have appointed themselves to serve the holy-ones. I encourage youĎ brethren, 16:16 in order that youĎ may also be subject to those who are such and to everyone working together with us and laboring with them. 16:17 Now I am rejoicing on the presence of Stephanas and Fortunatus and Achaicus, because they fulfilled this lack of yoursĎ, 16:18 for* they gave-rest to my spirit and yoursĎ. Therefore recognizeĎ those who are such.

     16:19 The congregations* of Asia greet youĎ. Aquila and Priscilla greet youĎ much in the Lord, together with the congregation* in their house. 16:20 All the brethren greet youĎ. GreetĎ one another with* a holy kiss.

     16:21 The greeting from Paul with my own hand. 16:22 If anyone does not love the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be accursed. The Lord has come! 16:23 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ is with youĎ. 16:24 My love*is with all of youĎ in Christ Jesus. Amen.
